Recently I obtained a pre-owned Brompton T-Line Urban, for the purposes of evaluation and comparison with our my UFB all-titanium take on Andrew Ritchie’s amazing original design [designed, engineered, and produced nearly two-decades ago, now, and iteratively refined and updated over the years!]. The first thing I did was to completely disassemble it -down to the last fastener & spoke nipple – and document, measure, & weigh everything. Afterwards, occurred to me that – given the appeal, mystique, and interest aboutthes bike in the global community of enthusiasts and tinkerers alike, it might be of value to publish that data.
Here then is the complete list (in Microsoft Excel format) of the components on the stock Brompton Urban T-Line that I received [serial number indicating it was manufactured in August of 2021].
hi. great work.
is there a possibility to buy the carbon fork and the new headset and assemble it on a 2018 Brompton? thanks
Many thanks for sharing, this is very informative. Just a minor correction that the T-Line is fitted with Schwalbe One 35-349 (not 40-349). Cheers!
Incredibly detailed and attentive. Thank you.
